Escrito en Do Mayor,
dice eso de “goes like this, the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, and the
major lift”. Osea, Do, Fa, Sol, La menor y Fa. Con claras referencias bíblicas,
como la historia de Samson y Dalila (“She cut your hair”: “Te cortó el pelo” y
perdiste toda tu fuerza), o del Rey David y Betsabé (“You saw her bathing on
the roof, her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you”: “La viste bañándose en el
Cohen.
He oído
Aleluya…

Now I've
heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah…
Your faith
was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew her She tied you To a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah…
You say I
took the name in vain
I don't even know the name But if I did, well really, what's it to you? There's a blaze of light In every word It doesn't matter which you heard The holy or the broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah…
I did my
best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though It all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
Hallelujah…

JEFF BUCKLEY
Comentario

Aleluya…
Cariño ya
he estado aquí antes.
He visto
ésta habitación y he caminado sobre éste suelo.
Solía
vivir solo antes de conocerte.
He visto
tu bandera sobre el arco de mármol,
pero el
amor no es una marcha victoriosa.
Es un frío
y roto aleluya.
Aleluya…
Bueno,
Aleluya…
Bueno,
y roto aleluya.
Aleluya…

About two
days ago,
I woke up in Australia and I saw the bomb go off, and I felt sad that the French government had joined along with the fools that insist on sending death sentences to the Earth. This is for all the people who know that the only good place for a nuclear bomb is in the garbage dismantled. This is for Leonard wherever you are. This is for Nina Simone

live alone before i knew you
I've seen
your flag on the marble arch
But love
is not a victory march
It's a
cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah…
Well there
was a time when you let me know
What's
really going on below
But now
you never show that to me do you
But
remember when i moved in you
And the
holy dove was moving too
And every
breath we drew was hallelujah
Hallelujah…
Well,
maybe there's a god above
But all
i've ever learned from love
Was how to
shoot somebody who outdrew you
It's not a
cry that you hear at night
It's not
somebody who's seen the light
It's a
cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah…
